Featured Bentley’s Grill Holiday Cocktail Recipe: Santa’s S’more

The Bentley’s Grill Lounge Bar is known for their creative and seasonal cocktail creations.  As a matter of fact, we have been voted Most Creative Cocktails in Willamette Valley for two years in a row!

Bar Manager (and social media guru) Soraida Cross was recently asked by The Statesman Journal to share the recipe to one of her signature seasonal concoctions that can easily be made at home.

This recipe is perfect for holiday gatherings and will spread some holiday cheer!  Happy Holidays and enjoy the recipe!

Bentley’s Grill Santa’s S’more

1 oz Smirnoff Fluffed Marshmallow Vodka
½ oz Godiva Chocolate Liqueur
½ oz Frangelico Hazelnut Liqueur
6 oz Hot Chocolate
Rim glass with graham cracker crust, Marshmallow sprinkles optional.

Make Your 2011 Best of the Mid-Valley Nominations By March 14!

It’s that time of year again!  It is time to again nominate your favorite businesses in the Statesman Journal Best of the Mid-Valley 2011 Poll! Last year, Bentley’s Grill was honored to be named the Gold Medal Winner in 3 Categories: Best Creative Cocktails; Best Business Lunch and Best Happy Hour. We also made it onto the Top 3 list for Best Appetizers in the Mid Valley!

We are asking for your help again!  If you are a fan, please support us and nominate Bentley’s Grill in the appropriate categories before the nomination period ends at noon on Monday, March 14, 2011. You may nominate us at StatesmanJournal.com/bestof.

StatesmanJournal.com’s Best of the Mid-Valley invites readers to nominate and vote for their favorite people, businesses and things to do in Marion and Polk counties.   Readers nominate their favorites by selecting one of seven topic areas (Food & Drink, Entertainment, Recreation & Fitness, Personal Services, Professional Services, Shopping, or Local Schools) and then completing the survey in each area. Nominating is as simple as entering a name in a text entry field.  Only organizations and activities that are currently in business in Marion and Polk counties will be eligible for nomination.

Nominations will be accepted until 12pm Monday March 14 and the regular voting period begins 8 a.m. Sunday, March 20 and ends 5 p.m. Sunday, April 10, 2011. For fans of Statesman Journal’s Facebook page, the voting period begins 8 a.m. Thursday, March 17 and ends 5 p.m. Sunday, April 10, 2011.

The names of the winners and runners-up will be posted at StatesmanJournal.com on Sunday, May 1, 2010. All also will be honored in our Best of the Mid-Valley special section publishing in the Statesman Journal on Sunday, May 1. In the event of a tie in any category, more than one winner or runner-up may be awarded.

Bentley’s Grill now offers three Happy Hour events each week.  Here are the top 7  reasons why you should swing by and wind down after a busy day during the week:

2. Lounge Lizard Monday. What’s in it for you?  Two weekly drink specials made with our featured liquor (announced each week); Chef Derek’s famous appetizer specials (just $4); and free promotional merchandise (while supplies last).  Each Monday 4-6pm in the lounge.
3.  Tuesday Tini’s…. Why Go?  Soraida Cross, our resident cocktail expert and her team create four delicious martini’s each week to compliment Chef Derek’s happy hour appetizer specials.  Each Tuesday from 4pm-close.
4.  Bonus for Foursquare Users! Check in to Bentley’s Grill on Foursquare every time you drop by.  The “Mayor” of Bentley’s Grill will be rewarded with a complimentary Martini from our list of specials during ”Tuesday Tini’s” (4pm- close each Tuesday).  This offer is only available on Tuesdays after 4pm; must be 21 with valid ID, must show proof you are the current Foursquare mayor.

Lounge Lizard Monday Kicks Off in March with 10 Cane Rum

Relax and be a Bentley’s Grill Lounge Lizard every Monday in downtown Salem  this Spring. Each Monday- we serve up 2 new cocktail specials with a featured liquor along with happy hour appetizers- and complimentary promotion merchandise (while supplies last) from 4-6 in our Lounge.  Now- you can network and meet other Lounge Lizards on the Bentleys Grill Facebook Page.

Warm up in our Lounge this Monday with tastes of the Caribbean Islands made from 10 Cane Rum.  10 Cane is a luxury rum created from the first pressing of virgin Trinidadian sugar cane. It is crafted by the experts at Moët Hennessy and considered one of the smoothest tasting rums around.
