Featured Wine of the Week
If there was a wine that fit the description “umami –bomb” the 2006 Reininger Syrah Ash Hollow Vineyard Walla Walla is the one. Plush blackberry and black cherry fruit join black pepper, Kalamata olives, smoked meats, soy sauce and freshly turned earth. It is full-bodied on the palate with a silky smooth finish. This wine reminds me more of the offerings from Rhone valley of France than Napa or Barossa. This wine is not a “crowd pleaser”, it’s distinctive and layered with flavors. That being said you should make a point of coming in and trying it. Cheers!
