Memories of the 2014 Great Salem Race!
The 2014 Great Salem Race has come and gone, but the happy memories (and costumes) remain. For the 4th year in a row, Team Bentley’s Grill (dressed as “The Village People”) and Team Salem Convention Center (dressed as “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles”) participated in this outstanding community event along with hundreds of other hopefuls.
If you don’t know what it is, the Great Salem Race is an annual team scavenger hunt organized by the Salem Young Professionals. This exciting event is a wonderful opportunity to work as a team and explore our city as the team races through town solving clues and completing challenges.Registered teams cover approximately 3-5 miles by foot over 3 hours as they are cheered on by family, friends, and members of our community.
The best part? It’s is all for a good cause! Proceeds go to the Boys & Girls Club of Salem and the Salem Young Professionals. The event gets bigger and better every year, in fact, we are already planning our costumes and brushing up on our Salem knowledge for the 2015 race and we hope you will too!
We are proud to have participated in this annual event since it’s inception in 2011. Here is a fun look back at this year’s event along with memories of past events:
