“Where’s a good place for lunch in downtown Salem?”
This is a question often asked by locals and visitors in Salem, Oregon. Lots of people in this part of town are here for business so they don’t want to go somewhere that is too far away, too casual, too formal or where there would be a long wait. Why not Bentley’s?
You’d be hard pressed to find a spot in downtown Salem that offers a better business or casual lunch experience. Attentive servers and a relaxed yet elegant ambiance make this the perfect setting for a professional meeting or a working lunch.
Bentley’s lunch specials menu, created by Executive Chef Hans Afshar, is always fresh and changes daily. Recent lunch-goers have enjoyed a range of surprisingly-delicious combinations like BBQ Chicken Calzone made with chicken, smoked mozzarella, alfresco sauce; and Short Rib Panini made with braised short rib, caramelized onions, cheddar, bacon, toasted sourdough and served with beer battered fries just to name a few.
There are also lighter options to choose from like Margherita Pizza with Marinara, tomato, fresh mozzarella, basil and Pear Arugula Salad with pear, arugula, ricotta salata, chicken, and avocado vinaigrette.

“My lunch was the best I’ve had there. I had a wonderful salad and my daughter had crab cakes and we were both impressed. The restaurant is very well decorated, service is great and they also have a great happy hour.” -Trip Advisor Review, Posted January 2019
“We enjoy going to Bentley’s Grill primarily for lunch (about once a month) but my husband has been there for dinner several times as well. This is primarily the place where my husband likes to bring or meet business associates. It is lovely, quiet find located inside The Grand Hotel property with underground parking which makes it convenient. Wonderful ambiance with comfortable seating and the central feature of the fire pit. The staff is professional and friendly. The food is excellent! You will find pricing quite reasonable.” -Trip Advisor, Posted November 2018
“Met a long term friend for lunch. We stayed two hours after delicious food, and excellent service. Having Hans as the new Executive Chef has been an excellent choice, and as he tries new menus he will settle on the best of the best as he has been running restaurants in Salem for many years. Salem is so fortunate to have the Grand Hotel and Salem Convention Center with such an outstanding restaurant in our downtown. As my lunch guest commented – It feels like we are in the best hotel and restaurant in San Francisco.”- Open Table, February 2019
